Wavellite "Moss on a Log", Montgomery County, Arkansas, w/ base, OOAK set of 6
Super unique set of 6 Wavellite specimens (lab analysis from the seam material considered these as fluorwavellite variety ie the fluorine analogue of Wavellite based on their chemistry). They show excellent crystallization under magnification. Their hue is unique too. They come securely mounted with ticky tacky on a naturally uv-reactive pine knot wood base. Some collectors say this variety of Wavellite reminded them of Moss, so i figured i would make a "Moss on a Log" Wavellite set. One of a Kind Display Piece. The bottom is cut flat and sanded smooth. The wood itself is naturally infused with the resin of the tree it came from, so it smells wonderful too, like the Arkansas forests from where it was unearthed.
Arkansas magic, from the Ouachita Mountain Range.
The Specimen Sizes range in size from Approx. 1.5 - 3 cm each.
