Old stock Wavellite, from Mauldin Mountain, Montgomery county, Arkansas, USA.

A phenomenal collectors specimen with hues of green and beautifully crystallized botryoidal formations on a quartz and chert matrix. An excellent piece of Wavellite. Very unique specimen as it features a plate of double sided wavellite sort of "floating" above a matrix of grey quartz and black chert. The top side of the Wavellite features multiple hues of green crystallization, while the underside features unique Black pseudomorphs of shale included sio2 after Wavellite (aka black wavellite...technically a pseudomorph tho). I have found through various tests, and after speaking to many industry professionals and scientists that Quartz has indeed formed after the Wavellite from this locale (mauldin mountain), despite what the old science says. A special specimen from our personal collection of wavellite variation pieces.
