RARE & VERY UNIQUE Faden Sheet Quartz Crystal Cluster, Garland County, Arkansas, USA.
Very rare and unique Faden Sheet Quartz Crystal Point from Garland County, Arkansas. Absolutely phenomenal specimen. One of a kind, unusual form here consisting of two thin tabular sheet quartz crystals attached at a unique angle. Likely an old "re-healed" Faden where the crystal fractured underground in a confined growing space and then the lattice reoriented itself along the fracture line and continued to grow the thin faden along its axis, but reoriented from within the subdomains. We have examined literally hundreds of thousands of quartz specimens from Arkansas over the decades and this is VERY strange arkansas quartz. It is the only one of this size & character we have ever seen. Fadens are great, and Large sheet quartz is few and far between. But one with a combination of this unusual form/aesthetics, quality, size and condition makes it a choice collector's specimen if you like Quartz oddities. From our personal collection of "Best-of Rare Arkansas Quartz ". (see video for details)
Specimen Size: Approx. 9.5 x 9 x 0.7 cm
