Rare Strengite, Natural Rainbows, Kidwellite, Cacoxenite, RARE Polk Co, Arkansas

Old stock from the explorations of the Coon Creek Association while exploring Polk county wilderness in the 1970s. This is how Kidwellite was discovered, and this is a specimen found during those times/pre-kidwellite being recognized as a new mineral (named after Al Kidwell, of the coon creek association).

This is a fine example of Beautiful Purple Strengite with natural rainbow irridescence on a field of iron phosphates. Kidwellite and golden Cacoxenite are also present on novaculite matrix. There are many more Iron Phosphates present, including some unknowns.

Self stands, amazing one of a kind piece that displays beautifully.
