VERY RARE

Miserite + Wollastonite,

from the North Wilson Pit, Wilson Springs (aka Potash Sulphur Springs),  Garland County, Arkansas, USA

Pinkish-Purple Miserite and Whitish-Gray Wollastonite from a long closed locale. The North Wilson Pit in Wilson Springs/Potash Sulphur Springs in Garland County is the type-locality for Miserite. The north wilson pit is now closed/reclaimed. This is a Beautiful combination of these two unique minerals. The specimen is beautifully UV Reactive, shining a nice orange color under longwave 365nm light, and a bright yellow/yellow green under shortwave UV light (see photos).

Specimen Size: Approx. 5.5 x 3 x 1.5 cm

The specimen comes mounted with ticky tacky on a naturally uv-reactive pine knot wood base that also illuminates nicely when light shines through it. The wood itself is naturally infused with the resin of the tree it came from, so it smells wonderful too, like the Arkansas forests from where it was unearthed.

Arkansas magic, from the Ouachita Mountain Range.
