Rare Kidwellite On Eleonorite, Iron Phosphates, Polk Co, Arkansas.

Old stock from the explorations of the Coon Creek Association while exploring Polk county wilderness in the 1970s. This is how Kidwellite was discovered, and this is a specimen found during those times/pre-kidwellite being recognized as a new mineral (named after Al Kidwell, of the coon creek association).

This is a fine example of kidwellite on novaculite matrix. There are many more Iron Phosphates present, including some unknowns.

We believe this one is from 3 Oaks Gap locale in polk county, possibly even from the famous "the arena" portion of this prospect near the Caney Creek Wilderness.
