Dark Smoky Quartz (study example) from Henry Delinde's collection. He is also the one that marked the piece with white out and labeled it as M.C. (Magnet Cove). 

The dark natural smoky color of this piece is likely due to exposure overtime to the element Thorium, which was discovered as an anomaly in certain portions of Magnet Cove many decades ago.

This study example also showcases some unique unknown secondary mineralization.

This is a long closed deposit, and this piece was likely mined in the 1980s.
