Miserite + Wollastonite (Heart-shaped)
from the North Wilson Pit, Wilson Springs (aka Potash Sulphur Springs), Garland County, Arkansas, USA
Pinkish-Purple Miserite and Whitish-Gray Wollastonite from a long closed locale. The North Wilson Pit in Wilson Springs/Potash Sulphur Springs in Garland County is the type-locality for Miserite. The north wilson pit is now closed/reclaimed. This is a Beautiful combination of these two unique minerals. The specimen is beautifully UV Reactive, shining a nice orange color under longwave 365nm light, and a bright yellow/yellow green under shortwave UV light (see photos).
Specimen Size:
Approx: 3 x 2.5 x 0.5cm
The wood base is approx 4 x 4 cm
It is mounted on a naturally UV reactive Pine knot wood that comes from our land in Arkansas.
The wood mount smells like the forests of Arkansas.
*It is mounted with ticky tacky only so the specimen can be removed as needed.
