Extremely Rare old stock Greenockite included Smithsonite on Sphalerite, Rush Mining District, Marion Co, Arkansas. Flourescent in Longwave/ UV Reactive. Old stock, and one of the rarest finds in Arkansas, closed locale in Marion County, Arkansas in the Rush Creek Mining District. Mined in the 1970s.
It is mounted in our new boxes we designed and made utilizing a UV reactive Pine knot wood that comes from our land in Arkansas. The back is a transparent photographic print of one of our photos of the Ouachita Mountain Range.
The pine knot wood is interesting as it is infused naturally with the concentrated resin of the tree, making it completely translucent when light shines through it when sliced. It also becomes more fluorescent under longwave UV light. They smell absolutely fantastic too, like the forests of Arkansas from where these minerals come from.

*The clear plastic case can be removed as needed. The specimens are mounted with ticky tacky only, so they can be removed if needed as well. Everything will be packed securely for shipment.
