Green Wavellite - Fantastic Specimen
from Mauldin Mountain, Montgomery county, Arkansas, USA.
(Montgomery County quarry / Mauldin Mountain quarry) aka the "county road pit" (as labeled on the specimen).
A phenomenal collectors specimen, with amazing aesthetics, wonderful green hues and it showcases a beautiful large botryoidal Wavellite crystal on a small amount of matrix (quartz and chert). The main wavellite bot is approx. 2 cm width. It comes mounted in the original perky case, labeled on the bottom, from Henry Delinde's collection.
