"Ghost" Phantom Quartz Crystal Point with raised triangular etchings, Garland County, Arkansas, USA

Beautiful quartz crystal point w/ stacks of phantom inclusions. The phantom chevrons that are included within the point are faint and are known as ghost phantoms.They are likely comprised of particles of shale and micro gas bubbles trapped inside during the formation process over a very long period of time. One of the facets on the piece hosts raised triangular etchings widely known as "record keepers".
