from Mauldin Mountain, Montgomery county, Arkansas, USA.
(Montgomery County quarry / Mauldin Mountain quarry)A phenomenal collectors specimen with multiple hues of green as well as beautifully crystallized botryoidal formations on a chert matrix. The crystallization on this piece is incredible. Very rare for wavellite to have such beautifully crystallized wavellite, it seems harder than normal wavellite as well, closer to quartz on mohs scale. Interesting as the wavellite is adjacent to quartz on the piece.
