Amazing crystallization on this small green Wavellite specimen, from Maulkdin Mountain, Montgomery County Quarry, Arkansas, USA. The wavellite sits on a matrix of chert. Amazing little specimen.
Specimen Size Approx. 2.5 x 2 x 1.3 cm

The wavellite comes mounted with ticky tacky on a naturally uv-reactive pine knot wood base that also illuminates nicely when light shines through it. The wood itself is naturally infused with the resin of the tree it came from, so it smells wonderful too, like the Arkansas forests from where it was unearthed.
