Amazing Brookite on highly altered Smoky Quartz from Magnet Cove, Arkansas. Beautiful specimen covered in Brookite crystals. The Smoky Quartz is a unique variety, w/ multi-generational recrystallization, inclusions and various geological alteration events that have shaped it over-time into its current special form. The brookites have fantastic luster when viewed in direct light. 

Specimen Size: Approx. 4.5 x 3 x 1.5 cm

The specimen comes mounted with ticky tacky on a naturally uv-reactive pine knot wood base that also illuminates nicely when light shines through it. The wood itself is naturally infused with the resin of the tree it came from, so it smells wonderful too, like the Arkansas forests from where it was unearthed.
